What Causes Severe Persistent Abdominal Cramps And Diarrhea?

I have had diarrhea for over 48 hours, Low temperature and some abdominal cramping (particularly before another episode of diarrhea). I have maintained drinking water and Gatorade. I have tried eating crackers, toast, and mashed potatoes but as soon as I eat within 20 minutes, I m back in the bathroom. How long should I wait until seeking medical attention.

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
In my opinion, you should consult doctor and get your self checked.
You are not improving and having diarrhea since last 48 hours.
So possibility of intestinal infection is more.
So you will need ultrasound examination of abdomen and stool examination.
You will need antibiotic, probiotic, zinc tablet, oral rehydration solution (ORS) for control of diarrhoea.
So consult doctor and discuss all these.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
