Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a long history lumbar stenosis. Last Monday I woke with a feeling of severe pressure of mower back. Thorough out the week I developed toothache thespian left outer thigh now I have left leg weakness, only occasional pain near left hip. Tonight the ball of my left foot and baby toe feel numb.. can I wait until next Wednesday to get an MRI done in case there may be a good treatment to resolve this.
From the available description, it is clear that there is compression on the nerves due to spinal stenosis. Although waiting for certain duration is often warranted but any form of exertion during this time may cause severe damage to the nerves supplying your great toe.
In my opinion it will be better to get LS spine MRI as soon as possible.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ashok Kumar,
Psychiatrist
