What Causes Severe Pulsating Pain In Right Temporal Lobe?

I have ben experiencing severe pulsating pain in my right temporal area since yesterday. The pain has intensified and the intervals are shorter, to one every minute, give or take. Since this afternoon I also have earache. What could be the cause? I was on a seven hour flight from New York to Paris on Thursday night, could that have something to do with it?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
I appreciate your concern
Your doubt is very genuine, this can be related to air journey
Sudden change of pressure may produce heaviness in ear, giddiness and headache at times

Another possibility is migraine or vascular headache
I would like further information to help you better
Your age, sex and relevant medical history if any?
Are you having any problems with vision either blurring or diplopia

I would advise you to take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain relief
Avoid exposure to bright light and noise
Complete abstinence of alcohol and smoking

You need not to worry , you will be alright very soon
if it doesn't relieve please consult your doctor for further investigations

Hope this answers your question
