What Causes Severe Rectal Bleeding With Dizziness?

I just went to help my friend. We gave up and called 911. He had severe rectal bleeding. First with his stool. He said it came like a balloon and emptied into the stool. He was light headed and nearly passed out and called me. It is still bleeding. I found aspirin in his bathroom. I assume he is now well cared for, but is there anything else I should do. He is hard of hearing and I go to all his medical visits.

I think he should get further checked by doctors to examine him physically. I believe that hemorrhoids can be the cause of the excessive bleeding he is having. Go to ER.
