What Causes Severe Recurrent Ear Infections For Which Prednisone And Nasal Sprays Are Not Helping?
I have had severe ear infections since October. I have been on numerous medications. Prednisone and nasal spray along with inhalers helped get rid of them. That lasts for about 2 weeks. Now its back hurting in the other ear. I have had tubes so many times they will not put them back in. Any suggestions.
As per your medical history that you are advice to take steroid and nasal spray and tubes had been put in your ear drum for so many times, it appears that you are suffering from recurrent infection of middle ear due to dysfunctioning of eustachian tube.
Some times such situation arises not now it is very important that your nose and paranasal sinuses should be thoroughly examined to rule out any disease which off and on sending infection to throat. At the same time your throat shoud also be checked for adenoid and tonsils, because these are also playing role in infecting throat and ear via eustachian tube.
