What Causes Severe Redness On The Inner Thigh?

The back of my right leg developed a vermiculate pattern on my inner thigh that looks pink to light red. It just came on in the past hour. It goes away when I elevate my feet. I am 5 4 tall and weigh about 126 lbs so I am not a heavy person. I am not diabetic or anything like that. I don t smoke. I workout regularly. I am on tamoxifen. I know that can cause blood clot issues. I have never had anything like this before. I am elevating my leg and I just took two aspirin. Should I go to ER or am I okay to call my doc in am?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I would like to suggest some tests:

1. Skin Allergy test
2. ECG
3. Blood Pressure (morning)
4. Blood Test including C-Reactive protein
5. D-Dimer

As I cannot see the picture of vermiculate pattern, I have to give tests for both the skin and cardiovascular issues.

The above tests can guide us the treatment plan. Meanwhile, you take rest and keep the leg little higher than the body.

With the test result, please post another question here in HCM. Here we have good doctors who can follow you up.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dipan Samanta, General & Family Physician
