What Causes Severe Rib And Shoulder Pain?

I have had pain in my ribs for nearly a month and half now the pain is not going anywhere just giving me shoulder pain and I am getting out of breath easy I havent seen my GP or gone too the hospital yet? What shall I do? Dont wanna go incase I am wasting their time
