Hello,

I can understand your concern. Very common reasons that can cause chest pain while deep breathing are inflammation of the costochondral cartilage, bone like structure that makes the rib cage or inflammation of the inner lining of the lung.

Little more information is needed in your description of symptoms to differentiate between these two conditions. Thus, you may have to visit a physician or pulmonologist for physical examination, diagnosis and treatment.

I hope this information helps you. Your questions has reached successfully to us so your method of sending us query is right. You can use it in future if you have any concerns regarding health. I hope you feel better soon!

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
