What Causes Severe Right-sided Pain Under The Rib Area, Mid Back And Nausea?

i just started having terrible pains throbbing in my sides right under rib cage. the left side is worse and my mid back hurts also. i am nauseated and vomiting and have the chills. last week when only back hurt i went to dr and urine showed blood but no infection so we did nothing. please help me know if this is emergent or not..thank you

Hi welcome to the health care magic

Here according to your presentation your physical examination should be done first for primary work up

You should be investigated with...
-USG abdomen
-SGPT and SGOT estimation
-PS examination
-ESR etc

Pancreatitis, early hepatitis, cholecystitis like inflammatiory condition has to be ruled out here first (USG will be helpful for primary work up for that)

According to cause further specific treatment given

Take care

Consult physician for examination and further work up according to examination
