Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my son is almost 3. He learned is letters and numbers at 18 months and is currently learning words. He is very smart but has really bad separation anxiety, he is also very obsessive with things and still has a binky and doesnt want to potty train. I only think this is weird because I have 4 older children who were never this bad. I cant even go to the bathroom alone or he pounds on the door and cries the whole time. Its actually made it super hard to do my school work for college. Is something wrong here?
First of all, it's sad to know what your son and you had been going through lately.
Based on the history you have shared, it's better to get him to a psychologist for an assessment, and may need therapies and behavioral modification practices.
He may not need pharmacological treatment at this moment but if irritability persists, may be ensured.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
