What Causes Severe Stinging Sensation During Swallowing?
I have a severe stinging sensation when I swallow. The pain on my right tonsil is so bad that I can t sleep for more than an hour without waking up. I fear swallowing it hurts so bad. The pain goes all the way down the right side of my throat and up to my ear. My right tonsil is purple and very swollen. It started hurting last night and was this bad when I woke up this morning.
Dear you may have unilateral tonsillitis and pharyngitis. That may be the cause for your problem. So salt water gargle, tab. Azithromycin for 5days. Still symptoms persisten you need to consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly. Avoid cool drink and freeze water, avoid spicy food. I think I answered to your question if you have more questions please feel free to ask.
Take care
