What Causes Severe Stomach Ache And Dizziness?

I am 46 years old. 5' 4" and 130 pounds. I was feeling fine, then had severe pain in my stomach right below my sternum. The pain radiated into my chest. I felt light-headed and felt I would pass out if I remained standing. I sat down and started sweating profusely and thought I would still pass out even though I was sitting. I felt nauseous. I never passed out all the way. After about 10 minutes, I think I started feeling better and it completely passed. Should I be concerned about this?

HI,
THANKS FOR POSTING YOUR QUERY ON HCM,

YES YOU SHOULD CERTAINLY BE CONCERNED ABOUT YOUR SYMPTOMS.

THEY COULD BE OF CARDIAC ORIGIN POINTING TO CORONARY DISEASE/UNSTABLE ANGINA.

I SUGGEST YOU TO GET AN ECG,2D-ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY AND TREAD MILL TESTING,BLOOD SUGAR AND LIPID PROFILE.

USE TAB CLOPILET AND ECOSPRIN IN CONSULTATION WITH YOUR DOCTOR.

CORONARY ANGIOGRAM CAN REVEAL HEART BLOCKS.

CONSULT A CARDIOLOGIST FOR FURTHER QUERIES.
