What Causes Severe Stomach Bloating After Taking Restoralax?

I have been taking restoralax for a while now I was just wondering if it can make you feel so bloated that you actually have weight gain lately I weighed myself the last few day and my weight has gone up each day. im feeling really uncomfortable like I just ate a huge meal but I have not eaten today

Restoralax can cause bloating, this is one of the possible side effects that can occur.

Laxatives should not be used consistently because they eventually prevent the bowel from working well on its own and actually then worsen constipation.

They should only be used very intermittently and rarely.

Constipation should be treated with : (1) using enough daily fluids- caffeine products and alcohol do not count because they cause the body to lose fluids

(2)fruits and vegetables , at least 5 servings a day

(3)a fiber supplement may also be helpful eg metamucil, cetrucil, benefiber
