What Causes Severe Stomach Cramps And Irregular Periods?

i have missed 2 periods and for a little while i was getting very sick to my stomach...that has stopped and i am now having cramps or i would describe it as my stomach feels hard and tight like i was working out but i havent....is this cramping a sign of pregnancy? i am usually regular but i know stress can stop my periods for as long as 4 months.
