What Causes Severe Stomach Pain After Taking Food?
Hello, I have severe stomach pain when eating something, while in the military I was misdiagnosed with inguinal hernia, in 2015 I was diagnosed with a stomach infection and was treated for it, however, the treatment did not work and I am still suffering more severe pain when eating/ My question is what could this be a symptom of ad what should I do?
There are a number of causes for pain in the stomach after food. one common reason is a stomach ulcer, other include gall bladder problems, or other problems but those are um common. What we advise to people, we ask them to take a course of acid suppression drug like omeprazole once a day for 2 to 4 weeks .hopefullly it would be fine otherwise then you should see your doctor for further testing.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman, General & Family Physician
