What Causes Severe Stomach Pain And Blood In Stool?

Two days ago, I had a very bad stomach ache. Yesterday and today, I noticed that there was blood in the toilet bowl after my morning bowel movement. There is no tear in the rectum area that I can tell. I am a healthy 52 y/o woman with no history in sickness. Please help.

Hi,

The severe pain in abdomen with blood in stools., indicates bowel infection along with intestinal colic. This can be bacterial, amoebic in nature with or without fever and mucus (stocky stools). Specific medication, have non residual bland diet and drink plenty of water with ORS powder to maintain hydration and electrolyte imbalance is the proper management. Consult your family doctor foe medicinal prescription. Proper hand wash after toilet and avoid anorectal touching would help spread of infection

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
