What Causes Severe Stomach Pain, Vomiting And Recurrent UTI?
Hi, I have really bad stomach pains especially on my right side. It travels all the way to my back. There were times when I had to go to emergency because the pain caused me to vomit and even black out. I have got an ultra sound, a fatty liver test, blood tests (always high enzymes), and x-ray. My liver enzymes have been high ever since I used accutane but I have been off of it for over three years now and still my liver enzymes are abnormal. I get UTI frequently. Do you have any idea what it may be? Recently I found out I have inactive TB, not sure if that can have anything to do with it. Thanks in advance.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of severe stomach pain, vomiting and recurrent UTI which seems to be due to acute gastroenteritis/ viral infection. It seems you have poor and compromised immunity which is increasing your susceptibility of getting infected. Need not to worry. You should watch for loose motions, dehydration, fever, urinary problems etc to rule out underlying pathology. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to take proper rest. Visit gastroenterologist/ general physician once and get it examined. You should get blood tests done to find out underlying cause of fever whether bacterial or viral and start treatment accordingly. You can give meftal spas syrup will before meals 3 times a day along with proton pump inhibitors. Avoid taking cold carbonated beverages and hot and spicy food. You should take plenty of fluids to rehydrate. You should do tepid sponging as well.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
