What Causes Severe Sweating Along With Itching On Ears Of An Infant?
hi good morning. my baby is 6 months young. She appears to be healthy and developing well. My concern is that she sweats on her head and her arms and legs will be cold to the touch. Also it appears that her ears are itchy . She will rub on her ears. Is this normal ? Or is there something we need to have checked by a Doctor ? Thank you Blessings John & Rebecca
Hi Mr john and Mrs Rebecca. Babies normally sweat more on their head than the rest of the body due to the amount of sweat glands there and also the ratio of that area to the rest of the body. The itching in the ear could be due to the moisture retained. You need to be careful abt an ear infection. Just check her with a torch. If it continues please see your ent specialist. In all probability its likely to be a passing benign thing. Take care. Happy parenting.
