What Causes Severe Sweating On The Sides Of Earlobes And Rapid Heart Beats?

Dear Doctor, I was diagnosed with Vertigo. I was advised to take bilovas but could not continue the prescription. Now I have developed a kind of phobia or claustrophobia... I have sweat on the sides of earlobes and my heart beats faster. I plan to go a hill station tmrw. How should I prepare myself or is it safe stay away from the trip.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my surgical experience, there are disturbances with the labyrinthine pathway and cochlear conduction in cases of vertigo and so high altitude is better to be avoided.

However, there are specific drugs as acetazolamide or else which help to get easily acclimatization to the high altitude, and so you can have a trip to height with the consultation of expert neuro physician ahead.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
