My Mom is 72 years old. She has an issue of severe swelling in both her legs to the point there is clear liquid seeping from her legs. We prop her feet up at night which helps for a little bit but returns quickly. She has restricted her fluid intake to 1.5 litters per day but that hasnt helped. She s also has low sodium levels and was taking sodium chloride 1000 mg twice a day. Her blood test came back and her sodium level was 130, she had stopped taking the sodium pills because of the swelling. The swelling is quite painful. Is there anything she can do to help the situation and hopefully relieve the pain? Thank you for the reply.
