What Causes Severe Swelling In Hands And Feet?

I am a 49 yr old female I would say I am in good health. For the past month or so I have noticed my hands have been swelling enough I haven t been able to wear my jewelry at all. The past week my legs and feet have started sweling enough that they are uncomfortable especially my feet. Yesterday I took a 20mg Lasix ,It really didn t help at all. Is it safe for me to take 2 of the 20 mg Lasix. I do not take any other medications.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, diuretic can not be taken without proper diagnosis, if this is not the renal disease then diuretic will not help at all, underlying cause of swelling is matters, it could be due to hormone changes (Thyroid ) obesity, systemic disease and all these needs to be differentiated hope this information helps.
