What Causes Severe Swelling In Legs While On Risperidone And Cymbalta?

I recently started taking risperidone 1 mg and 30 mg cymbalta for bipolar and depression. the dr. is taking me off of prozac and abilify at the same time. i cut down the doses of that to 5 mg abilify and 40 mg of prozac. my question is will any of these cause alot of swelling in the feet and legs. i am 53 251.8 lbs, female. I know the weight will cause this, but I didn t have this problem previously. At least not to this extent. I have been on the new meds for 5 days.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It is not related to your routine drugs. Possible causes like edema can be considered. A renal function is required to rule out renal dysfunction because kidney problems can lead to edema or legs.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain
