What Causes Severe Swelling In The Feet Of A Diabetic Patient After Having Stent In Both The Legs?
My father underwent stenting in both legs. Soon after the stenting he had severe swelling in the feet andt he died after about 3 months. Is stenting that risky that one can even lose his life. My father was 65 years and was diabetic and also suffering from high BP.

HI
Thanks for posting your query to HCM.
I don't think father's death is due to stenting. Yes the sweling could be because of Stent malfunction though other causes like low blood protein levels , Kidney failure , Heart failure can be a cause of swelling .
Being Diabetic with high BP puts a person at risk for Cardiovascular problems like Heart attack or stroke or Kidney.
If you can post his recent test reports before death I can give much better probable diagnosis.
Any clarification feel free to ask , Happy to answer.
