Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Severe Swelling In The Legs While Suffering From Fibromyalgia?
i have recently been diagnosed with fibromyalgia .. but these symptoms i ve been having are getting worse and painful . not to mention chest pains . my left leg constantly swollen , my knee has been a bother since high school but now it s pain shooting from my knee down to my foot and up thigh .
Fibromylgia is common and may be very troublesome. We understand that and feel for your disease. However swelling in limbs is not a feature of this disease.
I will personally advise you should see your doctor just to rule out any joint disease that may be causing your pains and swelling. Once those are ruled he would also offer you ways how to control the pain.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
