What Causes Severe Swelling In The Legs?

I have very swollen legs for past month. Bug bites drove me crazy a week ago and I scratched them terribly leaving scabs I m 69 yrs old..5 1 and normally weight 179...now 183. The bites on my lower legs have been draining fluid after scabs were pulled off. I m on Pradaxa and Sotolol for A-fibe. Does this mean my heart isn t working hard enough and I should keep my legs above my heart? Linda

it is related to bug bite. clean the area and apply caladryl lotion.exclude diabetes and hypertention get locally examined by surgeon.at night raise your legs with pillow. take regular morning walk. renal profile may be done and check the medication and some may cause this problem.
