What Causes Severe Teeth Pain Despite Using A Night Guard?
I have on and off throbbing teeth. I wear a night guard to prohibit grinding, but it has no affect on my throbbing teeth. I've discussed this with both my physician and dentist, and the only answer they can give is a possible sinus infection (which I do not have). Today the pain is on the front lower portion of my jawline and seems to be causing some minor ear pain.
As per your complain pain and throbbing in teeth with a history of having teeth grinding habit and now having pain in lower front teeth that is radiating to the ear can be due to deeply worn off teeth or decay in any of the teeth that has reach up to the nerves present in the centre of the tooth leading to pain.. Radiating pain is commonly seen to ear on the affected side..
I would therefore suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigation like x ray can help in ruling out the cause and treatment can be done accordingly..
As of now you can take painkillers like Tylenol, Ibuprofen etc to relieve pain and take a soft diet..
Hope this helps...
Regards.
