Hi, on Friday I was playing soccer with my friends on a turf. And I ran a lot. When we were done playing I was tired and felt pain in my thigh when I got home. It s been hurting since Friday. Now today too I went to play soccer too ans I tried to kick the ball and my thigh would hurt too much. It feels like I pulled a muscle when I try to kick the ball
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have severe thigh pain . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like inguinal hernia , osteoarthritis , lipoma , edema, septic arthritis , STD or sciatica. I would suggest you to apply warm compresses on groin area , keep this area clean and dry , take over the counter anti histamine like benadryl or wear loose cloths . If condition doesn't get well then consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may examine physically along with taking sample for lab test and skin patch test . Doctor may also refer you to orthopedic surgeon for muscle and bone problem . Doctor may prescribe muscle relaxant , anti inflammatory along with physical therapy . You should also consult neurologist for nerve problem like sciatica.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
