What Causes Severe Tingling Sensation In The Face?

Yes, last night when I left work at 5pm. I felt alot of tingling in my face, I was extremely tired and had dinner about 6pm then I fell asleep watching TV at about 9pm on the couch. I woke up about 11pm. and headed to bed and I noticed my face was still tingling it took me a while to go to sleep. Do you know what could be causing this? I have felt it before several times?

Hello,

Tingling sensation may be due to trigeminal neuralgia or facial nerve compression or hypocalcemia or anaemia or neuropthy etc.

Avoid application of pressure on that side. Use B12 and folic acid tablet. Check for herpes zoster early stage.

If symptoms not improved please consult your neurophysician he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
