What Causes Severe Tiredness Along With Body Pains And Elevated Thyroid Levels?

Hi, for past 1 year my fiancée now wife has been complaining of tiredness and body pains. Last week she got sick and went for blood test. She says that thyroid test is found positive with level 35. I don t live with her because of her regular studies in final year. What is the best way to handle her emotions as she is panicking. She has consulted the doctor and is prescribed medicine for hyperthyroid with 20mg tablets. Her age is 23 and mine is 26. Please let me know what I should do. Will she be able to conceive : This is what she is worried most. PS: Whenever I visited her she was having her periods. So she took 5mg of regestrone for 7 days twice a day. Also she is medical nursing student(GNM).

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Ihink she may need to take atenolol to manage stress because of thyroid. Also she needs to visit an endocrinologist and do further tests to get a certain diagnosis about it. I think it will not bring problems to convince.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka
