What Causes Severe Tiredness And Weakness While On Prednisone?
Hi! I ve been take amoxicillin for strep throat and was recently put on prednisone for bronchitis but am still running fevers and now am feeling more sick than I was. I know prednisone can effect my immune system but I don t know if I should go back to the doctors or just wait it out??

Prednisone can suppress the immune system or immune response. It would not normally cause worsening symptoms , this may be the progression of your illness.
You may need alternative or additional medication such as:: (a) a bronchdilator (to open the airways which can sometimes be occluded in bronchits
(b)a mucolytic- to help break up any excess mucus
(C)alternative antibioticv
Rest and fluids would also be important
