What Causes Severe Vaginal Bleeding Post Child Birth?

Hi I am experiencing prolonged bleeding. I just finished having my period three days ago. I have been sexual active lately to. The blood is very light and appears when I wipe down there. I gave birth 4 months ago. Could this be a sign that my stitches have been stretched out?

Hello,

No, I don't think your bleeding is due to stitches problem. It can be due to either hormonal imbalance or infection. So better to consult a gynecologist and get done a clinical examination of the vagina and detailed hormone levels. Better to avoid sexual intercourse for a few days.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
