What Causes Severe Vaginal Bleeding While On Duphaston?

I have been bleeding for nine days alreafy, on and off. Then I had my pregnancy check, positive, but the second line is not as clear as the control line. This situation continued until today. Yesterday I went to see doctor, she said I am pregnant, but not stable because my hormone level is still very low. Performed a ultrasound, but, nothing. So, she gave my duphaston. But, today I still bleeding, heavier than before but not like period. Stomache too Does that s means miscarriage?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Spotting after taking Duphaston is due to withdrawal bleeding and pregnancy is unlikely in this situation.
However, I will suggest you to wait till 21-6-16, and If proper flow of bleeding do not occurs, then you should get a urine pregnancy test done to confirm the diagnosis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ivan R. Rommstein, General Surgeon
