What Causes Severe Vaginal Itching, Dryness And Soreness?

Hi..have intercors with my Husbnd on 18th April n he dischrj sparm inside so next day morng I took unwntd 72 pill.. After few days I found that my vagina area become so dry n I m getting so much irritation n itching.. So I m using lactacid lotion but still not getting any result..I m so much worried..is there any chances to get preagnt..?? That was my high risk time to get preagnt.. Mentally I m not ready to have any baby.. Pls help me out..what to do now..??

Hello,
Vaginal dryness and itching may be due to bacterial vaginosis, candidiasis, cervicitis, chlamydia (Chlamydial Genitourinary Infections), gonorrhea, herpes simplex, trichomoniasis, vaginal candidiasis or vaginitis.
Treatment option depends upon the cause of vaginitis. Vagina is to be examined physically and secretion sample is taken for culture. Metro-gel vaginal cream is to be applied topically for bacterial vaginosis and trichomoniasis. Oral Metronidazole or clindamycin are prescribed. You may visit a gynecologist for further management.

Hello,

Symptoms of dryness, itching and irritation in vagina are suggestive of vaginal infection. I suggest you to consult your gynecologist for clinical assessment, vaginal swab and antimicrobial treatment for infection. In the meanwhile, I suggest you to avoid unprotected sex to avoid transmission of infection if any.
