Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Severe Weakness After Taking Clindamycin HCl?
Can Clindamycin HCl interact with Atenolol, Atrovastatin, and Lisinopril. My husband is experiencing severe weakenss and very low blood pressue (95 -105 over 65-69 ) since being on the Clindamycin HCl for 4 days. (It is a 7 day course of antibiotics.)
Weakness is a common side effect of Clindamycin. This symptom usually go away on its own in a few days. I suggest you to continue the medication. I also suggest you to take vitamin C and vitamin B supplements.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi,
