What Causes Shaking Hands, Fatigue And Depression In A Teenager While On Lexapro?
Hi, I have a teenage daughter who has such persistent hand shaking she repeatedly drops things such as sups etc. She also sleeps most of the time and seems very fatigued. She has been diagnosed with depression and takes lexapro. She has a history of self harm because she has difficulty feeling things we are at a loss as to what may be causing these symptoms?
I went through your details. Usually depression do have some hand tremors and motor inefficiency. But in this case, this tremors are a bit extreme and may not be due to depression. You have not mentioned the medicines your daughter is having for depressive disorder.
The uncontrollable hand tremors are possible to overdose on antidepressants. There are several symptoms associated with overdose, such as uncontrollable shaking of the hands, lack of fine motor function, double vision, seizures, and coma. Please don't hesitate to consult your psychiatrist.
