What Causes Sharp Abdominal Pain Followed By Diarrhea?
Hi. I ve had diarrhoea for 4 days now. Day one dark grey. Day 2 grey/green. Day 3 yellow. Today dark green. On day 1 I went to doctor and started antibiotics (prescribed 3 only). Went back today and provided poo samples. Day one severe sharp pain high under left ribs before loose stolls began. I ve had the same pain a few times now in the last few months but not followed by diarrhoea

From history it seems that you might be having chronic gastro-intestinal infection giving rise repeated attack of abdominal pain and loose motions.
This infection can give rise intestinal colic producing pain before going for defecation.
As you gave stool sample for lab investigation, after report go for treatment accordingly like ofloxacilin, metronidazole for 5 days.
Take light food.
Ok and take care.
