Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my 20 year old granddaughter has been having sharp pains in her heart for about a week now. After the pains are over, she has a rapid heartbeat for about 30 seconds then it goes back to normal. (usually once or maybe twice a day.) It happens when she is lying down at night.
I would advise your granddaughter to undergo holter monitoring. It is a test during which 24h ECG is recorded. In this case her doctor can see what's going on during night when she has complaints.
Hope I could help you
Wishing you good health
In case of further questions don't hesitate to ask
