What Causes Sharp In The Lower Left Abdomen While Having Anxiety?

I am (and have been) having severe sharp stabbing pains only in one place. Lower left side of abdomen, below my ribs, closer to my uterus. I have Some college education in medical care but obviously do not know enough. I suffer from EXTREME anxiety disorder. So I cannot (do not want to) go to a doctor. If there is anyway someone could help me, even if it s just to tell me I NEED TO GO TO A DOCTOR NOW, I might just listen!!

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

We have to rule out possible causes like renal stones:

Unwanted anxiety can also cause similar symptoms.

As a first line management, you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief. If symptoms persist you can consult a general surgeon and plan for an ultrasound scan.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
