What Causes Sharp Left Sided Pain In The Neck?

i sometimes get a shooting stinging pain on the left side of the neck in my vein. My doc just said that is wierd and she did t know what it was. it returns and seems to get worse when i am stressed and my blood pressure is up a bit. i am in good shape 5 6 and 126 lbs. i exercise regularly and continue to have great physicals.

Raised blood pressure can at times result in such a presentation but if at all the following investigations have not been conducted I would urge you to do so: lipid profile, treadmill test, cardiac enzymes and a Doppler ultrasound of the neck.
