I have had two episodes of a very sharp pain, almost like a severe cramp, in the left groin area. Three weeks ago I had my left knee scoped to fix some meniscus damage. My left calf became slightly swollen and hard to the touch which I believed to be fluid build up. The calf slowly went back to normal after a week but was tender to a pointed finger but not to a hand touching. My follow up to my Dr. confirmed the fluid build up and it did go away like he said. My left knee is fine and my left calf is much better. Twice within the past week, I go to bed for the evening and I feel the pain building and building in my left groin area. I am in good physical shape and have had leg cramps after much physical activities or dehydration, but this pain was different. It felt like it was deep inside my leg, not like the calf muscles when they cramp up. I tried stretching the leg, bending the leg, rubbing the groin area with no relief. After 2-3 minutes the pain will slowly go away but the area feels like it is bruised, no marks, just a feeling. I have a very high tolerance for pain but the first time this happened, it brought me to tears.
