What Causes Sharp Pain And Swelling In The Lower Abdomen?

I was awakened by a sharp pain in the lower abdomen 4 days ago. My stomach swelled and I seemed gassy. The pain and soreness had diminished alot, but it is still there. I held the bottom of my stomach when I walked. Like I said, it is much, much better now. I wish I had gone to the E.R. when it was bad. Should I still go?

Hi welcome to the health care magic

You can have acute diverticulitis or enteritis like infective condition..

You might prescribed pantoprazole tablet for that

For constipation fiber diet can be consumed and if needed psyllium husk with milk useful for that

Avoid excess spicy foods and non veg foods for few days

Fruits and green leafy vegetables more

CBC Also done... And if symptom not improving and high total count than suitable antibiotic prescribed

If still no improvement than USG like further investigation done

Take care

Consult physician for examination
