What Causes Sharp Pain Between The Shoulder Blades?
I woke up this morning with sharp pain in my back between my shoulder blades. The sharp pain has decreased in the three hours I have been up but has not gone away. I am not nauseous.do not have pain anywhere else. Had breakfast. Hurts more when I take a deep breath, more on my left side.

Muscle strain or following Trauma
Herniated or Bulging Disc of cervical Spine or Thoracic spine can cause this Pain
Arthritis of Neck joints
Gall bladder disease can cause Referred pain between shoulder blades
Nerve entrapment in the shoulder region
Acid reflux
Emergency conditions causing Pain between shoulder blades include Heart attack ,Cancer,
Aortic Dissection, Pulmonary embolisn etc
