What Causes Sharp Pain During Intercourse?

a year ago i experienced sharp, shocking, cramping pain during intercourse. i was diagnosed with ovarian cysts. however, the abd and vag ultrasound was normal. this occured again last night during intercourse. what is causing this? it takes hours for the pain to go away. and i am still hurting the next morning. thanks
