What Causes Sharp Pain In Breast And Back Of The Shoulder?

I have these aches over my left breast and on the left side of the back of my shoulder. Sharp pains, like stingy pains. Also sometimes if i swallow water it feels like it goes down real hard and slow, so tilt my head back with another sip of water, it works sometimes. But it is very painful.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. GERD or oesophagitis can be the most likely reason. But better to have an electrocardiagram (EKG) and stress test to rule out cardiac causes to be on safe side. Taking proton pump inhibitors like Esomeprazole ( Nexium) for 4 weeks will be helpful. If there is no improvement then consultation with gastroenterologist is well appreciated.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
