What Causes Sharp Pain In Ears While Blowing Nose?

I have been moderately sick for about 2 days now. And last night when i Blew my nose, it felt like a blew out my eardrum. Every 5 seconds i feel a sharp pain inside my ear. And when blowing my nose, hear a loud squeaking sound. What Happened to my ears, what should i do?

Hello,

Your symptoms are related to the changes in the pressure inside your inner ear.

I don't think that you should worry about it, as this is a temporary situation and you will recover spontaneously soon.

So, try to relax and avoid blowing your nose. Some nasal drops (decongestants) will help in case of a blocked nose.
