Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi Dr. My husband is having this sharp pain in the heart area (mild pain) constantly. He was detected with thick heart wall on the left ventrical. He has this pain whenever he is stressed or tired. He has no shortness of breath or other things. Both of us are worried. What should we do? Pls advise?
There are two possibilities for this constant pain, one is pericarditis which inflammation of the cover of the heart, but this kind of pain usually increases on deep breathing and associated with cough. I am not sure what you meant by wall over left ventricle, do you get back with detailed echo report.
Second possibility of gastritis and reflux disease, for that he should avoid spicy and fatty foods. Avoid smoking and alcohol if any. Also maintain sleep habits regular and also do regular exercises. Have some walk after meals instead of taking rest immediately. He can take acid suppressant like tab Pantoprazole.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Sagar Makode
