What Causes Sharp Pain In Hip Radiating To The Groin?

Hello, I have been having some pain for around 6 weeks now from near my right hip down to my groin. It is mainly a dull ache but if I move suddenly or even get out of bed it becomes a really sharp pain like I ve been kicked there. Have you any ideas what it may be?
