General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi.

Quite possibly a reduction of intra-articular joint space which results in the bone ends (of the femur and the tibia) to have friction between themselves every time even a slight amount of weight bearing occurs. Please do get both an MRI and an xray of the region for more answers and clearance.

Best wishes
