What Causes Sharp Pain In Lower Abdomen After Having Antibiotics?
Hi. My name is Latoya. A few weeks ago, I had to take antibiotics for a possible yeast infection/ bacteria vaginitis or something like that. Anyway I took all the medicine except for 3 pills. So maybe a few days after that treatment, I cant remember if I were trying to lay in the bed or get out of it but I felt a rip/tear in my lower stomach area (close under my navel towards the left). It hurt like hell for a few hours but eventually it went away. A couple days after that, I felt a pain like the bottom of my stomach had dropped in my lower stomach/pelvic area. The pain only lasted awhile that day also. I have had some cramping and frequent loose bowels(not watery) also but not in the last 3 days now. I have been getting indigestion pretty bad though. I still get some discomfort from time to time so I will be seeing a doctor this week about it but wanted to get your opinion on what it could possible be. The rip feeling came about 2 weeks ago....
Hello! Using antibiotics affects not only the "wanted" area (side of infection), but you entire body. It is probably a side effect of the antibiotic use, (however no specifics about the antibiotic is given).
