What Causes Sharp Pain In Lower Rib Area Despite Taking Antibiotics For Sinusitis?

I just completed 20 days of antibiotics for a sinus infection, upper respiratory infection, and bronchitis. The coughing has drastically reduced in the past three days, and I am beginning to feel much better. However, I am now experiencing sharp pains on both sides of my lower rib cage. Is this something I just need to wait out, or do I HAVE to go see my doctor, again? I d rather not, if it s not needed. I am one of just a few teachers trained to administer high stakes standardized testing at my school this entire week.

Hi

Lower rib cage pain could be due to excessive coughing and soreness of muscles.Continue with a cough syrup, steam inhalation and hot fluids for a few days. The symptoms would definitely improve in the following days.Healthy food including high protein and vitamin should be consumed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
